  • Thank you for your interest in volunteering to help with Totus Tuus 2025! Our program will take place June 28th-July 3rd at St. Patrick Church of Merna; volunteers will be needed during the daytime program June 29th-July3rd from 8:35am to 2:40pm each day. Volunteer opportunities are available for teens entering 7th through 12th grade. 
     

    We strongly encourage all youth volunteers to attend the evening teen program as a participant. It is structured for teens, and a lot of fun! If you would like to earn service hours for your time, you must attend at least 3 of the 5 nights!
     

    A "Code of Conduct" contract will be sent to all volunteers closer to the time of the program. This contract will need to be printed and signed by the volunteer and a parent, and turned in on your first day of service. 

    Any volunteers 18 and over will need to complete the Diocese of Peoria's Safe Environment training. We will contact you with more information if this applies to you. 

    In order to provide the best experience for everyone involved with Totus Tuus, we have reworked certain areas of our programming. Due to these changes, we are expecting to receive more applications than positions available for teen volunteers. Filling out this form does not guarantee receiving a volunteer position. 

     

    Application Procedures:

    • We will accept applications through Sunday, June 7th.
    • The teen applying is expected to fill out this application to the best of their ability. 
    • You will receive an email during the week of June 8th notifying you of your assignment to a particular position or to the waiting list.
    • If you are offered a position, you must reply and accept it by Monday, June 15th. If we do not hear from you by this date, we will offer the position to someone else.
    • There will be a Volunteer Teen Meeting before the 1st night of the Teen Program on SUNDAY, JUNE 28 from 5-6:15pm. Pizza will be provided

  • The following questions are to be filled out by the teen applicant. We will take these answers into consideration when placing teens into volunteer positions.

  • Team Descriptions

    Classroom Helper: Volunteers will be assigned to a set class throughout the week to help the Totus Tuus team with activities, maintaining discipline, shuttling campers to and from activities, bathroom breaks etc. as the Totus Tuus team members need. No campers are to walk around alone, our Volunteers make a great buddy for campers.

    Camp Runner: Volunteers will directly help the Parish Coordinators with needs throughout the day, Volunteers will be responsible for having water/drinks ready at different points of the day, as well as distributing snacks during the daily snack break. Volunteers will also be in charge of making sure lunches are organized and ready for lunch time, and assist with any clean-up. Also ensures that water coolers around camp are full for the campers, and cleaned up at the end of each day. Other duties will be assigned as needs arise. This position needs to be available each day for all or at least most of the day
