  • Confirmed scheduling is based upon availability of the facility and facilitators. Outdoor requests should be submitted to Sarah Roberts at least 30 days prior to the requested date. If a request is submitted less than 30 days prior, it will highly decrease the chances of having availability and finding a facilitator for the activity.

    Once you click the submit button, it will be sent to Sarah Roberts for review. You will be notified 2 weeks prior to requested date if a facility and facilitator is available. If you have a question or do not hear from anyone, please call Sarah Roberts at 217-299-0108.

    All activities have very limited availability between the last week of May and mid-August due to summer camp.

  • Activity Information

    Below is the information details for the activities that are available. Length of each activity varies depending on group size, number of participants, age, skills of participants, and facility/facilitator availability. Payment is due prior to activity. Once the adventure is scheduled and confirmed the Troop/Group Leader will be contacted via email with the link to register and pay for the troop/group's adventure. Confirmed scheduling is dependent on facility and facilitators.

    Participants of Low Ropes, High Ropes, Ziplining and Rock Climbing will be required to present a completed Challenge Course Waiver and Health History form the day of in order to participate. Those without will not be allowed to participate. Troop/Group leader will receive forms via email during the week of he scheduled adventure. The caregiver of the participant will receive the Equestrian Waiver via email during the week of the scheduled adventure.

    Age Requirement: 2nd grade, and older for Archery and K-1st can participate in Slingshots

    Date Availability: March 15 - November 15
    Length of Activity: 1 hour
    Locations: Camp Tapawingo, Camp Kiwanis, Camp Widjiwagan

    Group Size: 8-20

    Participant Restrictions:Prefers participants have previous archery experience

  • Btoating/Canoeing

    Participant Restrictions: K-3rd grade participants must have an adult in the canoe with them. must have an adult in the canoe with them

  • Horseback Riding

    Date Availability: March 1 - November 30
    Length of Activity: 1-4 hours
    Locations: Camp Tapawingo
    Age Requirement: Riding in the arena is Kindergarten and up, trail rides are 4th grade and up
    Participant Restrictions: Maximum weight is 250 lbs.
    Group Size: 3-12 (larger group size may be divided into multiple sessions)

    Adults who wish to participate must be listed. Adults who are observing do not need to be listed. We understand you may not have the final number of participants in the activity, but please give us your best estimate.
