    Welcome to Earth Force's Core Training! This no-cost, 4-session virtual train-the-trainer course will cover the basics of Environmental Applied Civics, the Earth Force Process, structured planning time, and resources to share and train other adults. You will also gain access to all of our resources, ongoing support, and our community of practice, where the asynchronous portion of the training is hosted.   • Audience

    This training is designed for organizations who are providers of professional development, especially those with civic and/or environmental focus. Although this course is not a good fit for individual classroom teachers, folks in school-wide training roles, such as curriculum specialists, sustainability coordinators, or department leads are welcome to apply. Whether you're in the after-school space, a field trip provider, a community partner, network hub, or train other educators, we're looking forward to meeting you!

    This course has asynchronous components (on your own in Mighty Networks) as well as synchronous, interactive components (together on Zoom). As a cohort-based course, it is expected that participants are able to unmute and be active for discussion-based activities in the training. Participants will receive slides and access to all of Earth Force's resources; full recordings of sessions are not provided.

  • Course Checklist

    For this course you will: -Complete the asynchronous pre-work hosted on Mighty Networks -Attend 4 live, synchronous sessions -Complete an Training Plan for next steps for your organization -Meet with facilitators for post-course follow-up support for your Action Plan

  • Stipend

    Earth Force is offering a stipend of $500 per organization for this Core Training! To receive the stipend, participants will complete all items on the course checklist above. Stipends are sent after the completion of training as either e-payment or physical check. These stipends can only be paid out to organizations, not to individuals.

  • Subaward Funding

    The EPA is offering a $1,000 subaward for this training to organizations located in CO, UT, WY, MT, ND and SD. To receive the funding, participants will complete a grant agreement and budget, attend all four sessions of the training, develop and implement a plan for engaging students and fellow educators, then complete a one-page report detailing the number of participants reached, grade levels, and zip codes to track the program's reach within the region.
