In accordance with the Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and the Law of July 30, 2018 relating to the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, personal data collected for registration at the “Towards a more statistically literate future” conference includes name, last name, function, member state, institute, email address and food-related intolerances or allergies of the participant. The collection of this data is based on the lawful basis of consent and is necessary for the purposes of organizing the conference. Personal data will be processed solely for organizing and managing the conference. This includes among other things, participant communication, session planning and distribution of related informational and promotional materials. The processing is limited to what is necessary for these purposes. Personal data will not be shared with third parties except as required for the organization of the conference or as mandated by law. Personal data will be retained only for as long as necessary for the conclusion of the conference and for any follow-up activities. After this period, the data will be securely deleted or anonymized. Participants, as data subjects, have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of their data, and the right to data portability. They also have the right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. By registering for the conference, participants acknowledge that they have read this clause and consent to the processing of their personal data.
