    Get ready for a day of fun and relaxation on the tranquil waters of Butternut and McLaren Lake! Whether it’s a peaceful pontoon boat ride, paddling a kayak, or casting a line for some lakeside fishing, there’s something for everyone. Surrounded by stunning scenery, this outing promises the perfect blend of adventure and calm. (Limited to one Summer Sign-Up)

    *Level 2 Outing

    Note: All participants are required to wear a life jacket at all times when in the water or on any watercraft (boat, kayak, etc.). Life jackets will be provided by Sidekicks of West Michigan.

    • For the safety of all participants, you must sign your individual in and out with staff at both drop-off and pick-up. This will be done digitally.
      Do not drop off or pick up without checking in with a staff member.

    • Be sure to add this outing to your calendar. We'll send reminder emails every Sunday before the week begins to help you stay on track all summer long.

    âť—Cancellation Policy:

    • Outings canceled within 48 hours of the scheduled start time may be subject to invoicing. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know as soon as possible so we can adjust accordingly and offer the spot to someone on the waitlist.
    • Beginning June 15 2026 , after a participant’s third cancellation within 7 days of an outing, that individual may be subject to removal from future programming.
    • To cancel participation in this outing, please complete the Cancellation Form at www.sidekickswestmichigan.org under the “Cancellation Link” tab.

    I understand and acknowledge that my individual is participating in a beach/water outing organized by Sidekicks of West Michigan. By signing below, I agree to the following terms and conditions:

    Assumption of Risk
    I understand that the beach we are visiting is not lifeguarded. I acknowledge that swimming in natural bodies of water involves inherent risks, including but not limited to drowning, injury from underwater hazards, and changing water conditions.

    Swimming Ability & Participation
    All participants will be required to wear a life jacket while in the water.
    I understand that if my individual is not a proficient swimmer, they will be limited to wading in water no deeper than knee level. I acknowledge that I am responsible for accurately representing my individual’s swimming ability and ensuring these guidelines are followed.

    Supervision & Swim at Own Risk
    I understand that any water activity is done at the individual’s own risk. Sidekicks of West Michigan provides general supervision; however, staff are not lifeguards and do not provide direct, one-on-one in-water supervision.

    Waiver of Liability
    In consideration of participation in this outing, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and agree not to hold liable Sidekicks of West Michigan, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and agents, as well as the property owners and any associated parties, from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may occur during participation in this outing, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
