    ✦ Should we require further information or clarification, we will contact the primary applicant listed on the form.

  • 4. Proposed Programming

  • ✦ Early Career Artists/Artistic Company + Show (if applicable): List BC/Canadian artists and the name of the show, if applicable. 
    ✦ Mainstage artists (if applicable): If you are proposing an early-career artist as an opener for a main stage, list the artist they are opening for.
    ✦ Contracted or Tentative: This applies only to early-career artists. “Contracted" means a contract/agreement has been signed. Tentative performances may be listed as well but awards may be conditional upon receiving confirmation.
    ✦ Date of Performance: Dates must be between May 30, 2026 and May 28, 2027. Enter this format: January 1, 2027. 
    ✦ Genre Discipline: Choose the closest match from the dropdown list.
    ✦ Diversity/Designated Priority Groups: Priority may be given to applicants considered part of the BC Arts Council's designated priority group. Indicate whether the artist(s) self-identify as one of these groups or other equity-seeking groups, e.g. women, 2SLGBTQIA+, immigrants, refugees. If you're unsure, indicate N/A.
    ✦ Early Career Artists' Fees: This is the fee(s) paid directly to the early career artists.
    ✦ Touring Fees (if applicable): these are only if the early career artists are on tour and are the only expenses eligible for support
    ✦ Length of performance (minutes): List the length of the proposed performances, e.g. 90 minutes
    ✦ Venue Name: List the venue name only, not the address. If you are hosting performances in a park or public space, please provide the name or approximate location.

    ✦ Projected Audience: Make as accurate an estimate as possible for each show.
    ✦ Website/Social Media Links: Please include up to three for the early-career artists you are proposing.

  • Please attach your most recent financial statement. It must include:
    ✦ A Balance Sheet & Income Statement.
    ✦ Any past awards/grants must be included in your statement. Artists' fees should be a separate line item and/or identifiable in your statements.
    ✦ Signatures from two board members, demonstrating board approval.
    ✦ If your current statement is unavailable, please submit financial statements from your previous year.
