All events in the RSO Summer Series are family-friendly and are free to attend. The Summer Series takes place in various locations in the community to ensure to Orchestra is accessible to all. While the events in the RSO Summer Series are free, reservations are encouraged to keep attendees in the loop as details unfold. Monday, May 25 @ 5:00 p.m. - Liberty, Indiana; The RSO Summer Series kicks off with A Salute to the 250th Anniversary of America where the RSO Brass performs a medley of patriotic favorites. Please bring your own chair.
Friday, June 26 @ 6:00 p.m. - Cambridge City, Indiana; The RSO Brass presents "From Jazz to Big Band" and travels to the west side of Wayne County and joins the "Cambridge City: Concerts in the Park Series." Please bring your own chair. Rain make up June 27.
Wednesday, July 15 @ 5:00 p.m. - Forest Hills Country Club; The RSO returns to Forest Hills for Christmas in July! Featuring Christmas carols and seasonal favorites to warm the soul. Make reservations and stay for a Christmas feast.
Wednesday, August 5 @ 5:30 p.m. - Historic Richmond Depot District; The RSO teams up with the Richmond Depot District during the annual Model T Homecoming event. Presenting RSO pop-up ensembles for you to enjoy as you walk through the district on the art and wine walk! Funding provided by the Richmond Depot Association.
Saturday, September 12 @ 5:30 p.m. - Starr Gennett Building; The RSO joins the Starr Gennett Foundation's annual event, "Walk of Fame." The RSO Brass will perform jazz favorites recorded at Gennett Records followed by The Sock Joplin Trio for their second year, performing "A Day in the Life of Gennett Records." Please bring your own chair. Funding provided by Darla Bailey & UEA
