Home to over 2,000 animals, John Ball Zoo features some of the most interactive exhibits in Michigan—inviting guests to connect with wildlife in meaningful ways. From majestic tigers and regal lions to gentle wallabies, playful otters, curious chimpanzees, and elusive snow leopards, the zoo offers a one-of-a-kind glimpse into the animal kingdom, including both large and small primates.

🚐 Option 1: Ride in the Sidekicks Van

🔐 IMPORTANT – Sign In/Out Required:
- For the safety of all participants, you must sign your individual in and out with staff at both drop-off and pick-up. This will be done digitally.
  Please do not drop off or pick up your individual without checking in with a staff member.
Reminder – No Early Drop-Offs
- Staff will begin check-in no earlier than 5 minutes prior to the designated start time.
- While you may see staff arriving or preparing beforehand, participants cannot be dropped off early.
  Please plan to arrive at the designated drop-off time to help ensure a safe, smooth, and organized start for everyone.

- Dress for the weather
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Sunscreen Applied
- Filled water bottle
- Packed lunch (We will not have a cooler to put them in, they should fit in their personal bag.

- Be sure to add this outing to your schedule. To help keep you on track all summer long, we’ll send reminder emails every Sunday for the upcoming week.
❗ Cancellation Policy:
- Outings canceled within 48 hours of the scheduled start time may be subject to invoicing. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please use the cancellation link on our website as soon as possible so we can adjust plans and offer the spot to someone on the waitlist.
- Beginning June 15 2026 , after a participant’s third cancellation within 7 days of an outing, that individual may be subject to removal from future programming.
- To cancel participation in this outing, please complete the Cancellation Form at www.sidekickswestmichigan.org under the “Cancellation Link” tab.
