Code of Conduct and Civility of the L’Escale program
The Code of Conduct and Civility for the before and after school program L’Escale is a statement of attitudes and behaviors associated with the good manners (netiquette) which we encourage to maintain a respectful, harmonious, transparent, and effective environment.
This code aims to: -Promote civility and encourage behaviors characterized by respect, collaboration, politeness, courtesy, and integrity; -Assert the responsibility and accountability of all individuals for maintaining respectful and civilized interpersonal relationships; -Provide the necessary support to individuals who are victims of incivility, by establishing assistance and recourse mechanisms; - Intervene with individuals exhibiting uncivil behavior.
DEFINITION:
Civility goes beyond mere politeness and courtesy. It involves considering others, being open to them, communicating respectfully and transparently, and adopting behaviors that promote collaboration and harmony in a professional setting. Incivility, on the other hand, is a failure to adhere to basic rules of social conduct. It may not always be intentional, but it has a negative impact on people’s morale, interpersonal relationships, work performance, and the overall work environment.
All our employees have committed to adhering to this code of civility in their interpersonal relationships with colleagues, interactions with parents, and with the children. We encourage you to report any breaches by contacting the administrative office via email. Follow-up actions will be taken, and you will be kept informed of the outcomes of our investigation.
By signing this form, you commit to adhere to this code of conduct and civility with our employees, assistant director, and management, in all verbal or written interactions and communications with them. Any breach on your part will be referred to the Director for investigation and decision regarding necessary measures. In the event of serious or repeated breaches, Management reserves the strict right to terminate your and your child's participation in our program upon a simple 24 hours written notice.
