FY2027 Project Grant May Cycle

The Kent Cultural Alliance puts the arts to work creating opportunities for engagement, education, and connection across Kent County.

It is the vision of the Kent Cultural Alliance that all of Kent County’s communities have access to transformational arts programs to celebrate our shared humanity.

Project Grants are available to community based organizations in Kent County, Maryland that are producing an arts or culture related project. Project grants will not be awarded to any political or advocacy events/programs, nor expressly religious services.

Project Grants will not be awarded to sponsor events where the sole purpose is fundraising.

Project Grants must be used to support public community events.

Project Grants will be reviewed in two cycles throughout the year, in May and November.  For Projects between July 1 and December 31, 2026, applications should be submitted in the May Application Cycle (May 1 through May 31.) For Projects between January 1 and June 30, 2027, applications should be submitted in the November Cycle (November 1 through November 30.) 

DEADLINE - The Deadline for the submission of ALL May Cycle Project Grants (for projects between July 1, 2026 and December 31, 2026) is SUNDAY MAY 31, 2026 at 10 PM.

Applicants in the May Cycle will receive notification of awards by mid-June.

A GRANT REPORT relating to any awarded Project Grant must be completed by January 30, 2027.  Guidelines for the Project Grant Report will be provided upon grant approval.

It is critical that Kent Cultural Alliance grants, which are made up of Federal, State, and County funds (revenue from taxpayers), support access to the arts for all regardless of their capacity to pay, access to transportation, physical or mental abilities, and without discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, or geography.

 

With this in mind, please answer the following questions about your arts programming.

The Kent Cultural Alliance requires placement of its logo alongside other general sponsors on all printed and digital programs and publicity.  

The Kent Cultural Alliance requires that ALL grantee events and programs be posted on the Kent County Government’s online Events Calendar.

This grant requires a short report on the outcomes of the project by no later than January 30, 2027.  Full guidelines for the report will be provided upon grant approval.

Please provide digital/electronic copies of the following as one PDF.

1) Project Budget - please include income and expense projections, and clearly indicate where KCA funds will be used.
2) Total operating budget income and expenses for your organization (detail is not needed, just those two numbers)
