God’s Recipe for Authentic Joy, Freedom and Friendship: A Seminar on the Truth and Wisdom of the Ten Commandments is a half-day parish event (8:30–12:30 PM) led by Ed Van Buskirk -an experienced Catholic speaker who has presented to thousands of students, parents, and parishioners across the country.
In 2018, Ed left his career in IT Services, and founded "If U Love Me" to help individuals and families rediscover the Ten Commandments, not as a list of rules, but rather as God’s recipe for joy, freedom and friendship. Ed gives his audiences solid Catholic insights on the depth and beauty of each Commandment and practical lessons that make it easier, and even appealing, to understand and embrace.
Through two engaging and eye-opening presentations, Ed brings the Commandments to life with a fresh perspective. Ed’s presentations include:
Life Is Better Right-Side Up: Our culture has cast aside the truth and wisdom of the Ten Commandments in favor of modern moral relativism. The consequences are unprecedented moral confusion, division, chaos, and loneliness. In this presentation Ed will turn the Commandments right-side up explaining how the Commandments provide the truth and wisdom that cuts through the confusion and provides the clarity, harmony and friendship that we all want and need.
Our Divine Foundation for Authentic Friendship: Many read the Commandments as they would the table of contents of a great book. They see the simple words but never open the book to understand the love, beauty and bright future they promise when trusted. In this presentation, Ed will open the book and guide you through the love and wisdom of the Commandments explaining how they are God’s Recipe for Authentic Joy, Freedom and Friendship.
