Please fill out your details to register as a volunteer for MISSA 2026 at Pearson College.
The Metchosin International Summer School of the Arts is running an incredible lineup of courses from July 18-31, 2026. There is a broad range of offerings including workshops on ceramics, painting, fibre arts, sculpture, sketching, mixed media and writing. MISSA takes place at Pearson College, just outside of Victoria, on scenic Pedder Bay, in Metchosin. The program was established in 1984 by Robin Hopper, Carole Sabiston, Cheryl Samuel, Flemming Jorgensen, and Rona Murray.

We are looking for volunteers to hlep promote, prepare and support our program, and to help with set up and tear down. We will begin setting up July 16, 2026 and tear down July 31-August 1, 2026.

We are looking for volunteers with a positive, polite, mature, helpful attitude/personality that will help our students feel welcome, inspired and relaxed about learning and creating at MISSA.

We need helpers to put up posters, share our content online, set up for the program before things get started, to welcome and assist students to check in and find their accommodations, to assist with events in the evenings, for event set up and tear down during the program July 18-31, for audio visual equipment operation, and for onsite coordination making sure everything is running smoothly.

The campus has dorms, classrooms, a dining hall, library, presentation theatre, and social spaces that are connected by gravel paths. There are hills and curves - it is not a series of flat surfaces to negotiate. There are limited parking spaces available, so if you are able to make arrangements to be dropped off that would be ideal.
