Must be a citizen or national of the United States. (Note: A “national of the United States” is a citizen of the United States or a native resident of a possession of the United States such as Guam or American Samoa. It does not refer to a citizen of another country who is a U.S. permanent resident. U.S. permanent residents are not eligible for The Green Gift Scholarship award).
Must be pursuing or plan to pursue a graduate degree in one of the following fields: mathematics, science (life or physical sciences, computer science, behavioral sciences, or social sciences), technology, or engineering.
Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Must physically plan to attend an accredited, degree-granting institution in the state of Alabama during the Fall semester of 2026. (Note: Students must be attending or planning to attend graduate school in the Fall of 2026 to be eligible.)
Must have significant interest in pursuing a career in science or engineering research or leadership that aims to address current environmental, social, or socioeconomic challenges.
Must be enrolled or accepted into a graduate degree program.
Must be willing to participate in an award ceremony.
