The Langley Club is seeking motivated high school students to join our Summer Operations Team for the 2026 season.
The Club has a long tradition of employing local students to help keep our facility safe, clean, and operating smoothly. Team members will work under the supervision of a staff lead and may assist with a range of duties, including facility upkeep, support for club social events, landscaping, carpentry, janitorial work, and basic mechanical or electrical tasks appropriate to their age and skill level. Training will be provided. Prior experience is not required.
This is limited to 14 and 15 year-olds for non-mechanical work, and 16+.
This role is a good fit for students who are dependable, willing to work hard, and comfortable performing hands-on work in an outdoor club environment. In return, students will gain practical experience, develop useful life skills, build camaraderie with their peers, and enjoy the convenience of working close to home.
The expected commitment is approximately 10 hours per week during summer break. Work assignments and schedules will be based on Club needs, student availability, and demonstrated skill level. Schedules can be adjusted for family vacations with advance notice.
Expected Time Requirements
- May 1, 2026 - 5:00pm Application Deadline
- May 9, 2026 – Mandatory meeting at 8:00 a.m. at The Langley Club (subject to change)
- May 9 through June 14 – Three to four weekend shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. or 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- June 18 through August 23 – Three weekday two-hour shifts per week, plus five weekend shifts, including several longer shifts to support social functions
Selected applicants will be contacted by the team leader to arrange an interview and discuss responsibilities, schedule, and compensation.
Students who complete the program in good standing and perform at a high level may request a reference from Club leadership, subject to Club policy and applicable law.
