The Leslieville Farmers’ Market is a non-profit community market run by a small team. Due to volume only selected performers will be contacted.
PERFORMANCE INFORMATION
Music is one of the core ingredients that makes our market so special and keeps the community coming back Sunday after Sunday. With around 3,000 people visiting the market each week, it’s a big, lively, family-friendly picnic party in the park and such a fun crowd to play for.
Here’s the rundown:
Set time: Sundays, 9:30 AM–1:00 PM
(10/15 min breaks every 45 mins)
We’re looking for artists who can bring upbeat music, strong energy and good vibes to the market. This is a family-friendly environment, and we especially love music that gets folks dancing!
When reviewing applications, we look at overall fit for the market, sound balance, and the kind of energy a performer brings to the space.
Because we’re in a residential park and close to neighbours, sound really matters. Drums and brass instruments are welcome, but they require a gentler touch onsite. We also limit MCing, as speaking through the PA really hits the neighbours and not in a good way. While we love the energy crowd engagement brings, the PA is used only for light crowd interaction and emergency announcements.
This is also a great place for exposure. Many of our artists have gone on to book private events after performing at the market.
Performance Rates:
Solos (Food Court Stage or Entrance): $100
Duos (Main Stage): $200
Trios (Main Stage): $300
Groups of 4+ (Main Stage): $350
Large Groups / Special Acts (8–30 performers): Rate determined based on act size and performance needs
Payment:
Booked performers must invoice the market and will be paid by e-transfer after their performance.
Approved artists will be contacted by email. Tips are always welcome for all performers. Water and coffee will be provided.
We do have a PA system available for our main stage only, but performers are also welcome to bring their own battery-operated speaker and setup. Please note that microphones and cords are not provided. Our PA: https://ca.yamaha.com/en/business/audio/products/portable-pa-systems/stagepas-400bt-600bt/
