By signing this document, you agree to:
- Never use member information for anything other than the currently designated organizing purpose(s). In particular:
- Union resources must not be used to canvas for partisan positions, such as the election of union officers, on which the Local Union or International Union have no official stance.
- Union resources may be used to support campaigns that the Local Union has endorsed -- a ballot initiative, a ratification vote, a referendum, union membership, and issue-campaigns related to leadership development.
- Never share member information with the University, even indirectly. In particular:
- Do not share member lists or information with management, e.g. labor relations staff, faculty, department admin, etc. The only exception is for contract enforcement / grievances, when a dedicated copy should be prepared with only the absolute minimal information (# workers and types of data) necessary to address the issue.
- Do not download or copy member information to WWU-owned computers or servers
- Prefer sharing member lists with non-WWU email addresses whenever feasible
- Never share member information to a third party without prior authorization.
Ask for clarification from a union officer, staff member, or by emailing contact@wawu-union.org before using or sharing member information if you have any doubt as to whether the use is authorized.
- Abide by the ACE Code of Conduct as set by the Committee and ratified by the Membership.
