For many years, artwork for the official Cranberry Blossom Festival Poster was selected through an in-person exhibit hosted by Olio. As the program has grown, the Exhibit Committee has transitioned this tradition into an annual juried online exhibition, allowing artists from a broader geographic area to participate while ensuring a continuing source of original artwork for future festival posters.
Celebrate Red invites artists to explore the color red and its many meanings, associations, and inspirations. While cranberries and local heritage remain welcome subjects, artists are encouraged to think beyond the obvious. Red may represent nature, seasons, emotions, celebrations, memories, culture, movement, symbolism, or simply the visual impact of the color itself. From realistic landscapes and florals to abstract compositions, still lifes, wildlife, and contemporary interpretations, all artistic styles and perspectives are welcome.
Artists are invited to submit original two-dimensional artwork in any medium that prominently incorporates the theme of red. Entries should be suitable for online display and reproduction. One selected artwork will become the official 2027 Cranberry Blossom Festival Poster, while additional accepted entries will be featured in the Celebrate Red 2027 Juried Online Exhibition, which will debut on February 1, 2027.
This exhibition celebrates creativity, community, and the many ways artists can interpret a single color with imagination and meaning. We look forward to seeing how you Celebrate Red.
