Join FAME's NSBE Jr. Chapter!
The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) empowers students and professionals to explore, excel, and thrive in STEM. Through NSBE Jr., students in grades 6–12 get hands-on experience with real-world challenges, projects, and regional and national competitions that build skills and spark curiosity.

Scholars will work alongside college mentors from the University of Pittsburgh—the 2026 National Small Chapter of the Year—who will help guide them to become confident problem-solvers. All we ask is that you show up ready to learn, stay curious, and bring your best effort.

We’re excited to continue our FAME NSBE Jr. Chapter this year! Based on interest, we will offer:
- Ten80 Racing (Grades 6-8 and 9–12) - Build • Race • Compete
- MathCounts (Grades 6-8) - Problem Solve • Think Fast
- Try-Math-A-Lon (Grades 9–12) - Advanced Math • Big Problems
If you’re interested, complete the application to be considered. Space is limited, and applying does not guarantee admission. Selected students will be notified by email.
