  • Applicant must submit an article detailing the planning and fundraising projects the individual (or group) has done to attend Conclave. This award (1 for $1,000 for 2026) is available to Phi Upsilon Omicron members to be enrolled during the full academic year (2 semesters or 3 quarters remaining in school after Conclave).

    *The Karen P. Goebel Conclave Award is only awarded in even-numbered years.

    A separate application must be submitted for scholarships and other awards.

  • Applicant Responsibility

    IMPORTANT: Applicants are responsible for notifying the Phi Upsilon Omicron National Office if status should change from the information provided on the applications. (e.g., name, address, institution) By signing below, you are confirming your understanding and willingness to comply.
  • The winning student(s) will be awarded $500 at Conclave. The winning student(s) is expected to be in attendance and actively engaged at the entirety of Conclave. To receive the balance of the award money, the recipient must then turn this application into an article to be submitted for The Candle by December 1 of the Conclave year. Article should describe the overall plan, fundraising efforts, and the actual experience and benefits from attending the Conclave. Upon receipt of this article for The Candle, the student will receive the additional $500 of the award. ($1,000 total)

  • Rules Governing Phi Upsilon Omicron Collegiate Awards

    1. Recipients will be selected without bias toward race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, veteran status, or sexual orientation.

    2. Alternate recipients will be selected and notified if the original recipient is unable to accept.

    3. Picture and resume will be requested of collegiate award recipients for publicity purposes.

    4. Award payments will be sent to the recipient. Payment checks must be cashed within 90 days of issuance. If you do not receive your check, you must contact admin@phiu.org within that timeframe. No checks will be reissued after 90 days.
