1. Procedure for joining a North Lanarkshire Consortium
1.1 Contact should be made with the Locality Consortium Lead for the locality you wish to apply to, to request a Consortium Membership Form.
1.2 The applicant will be asked to complete and return a Consortium Membership Form. This form will request information on the individual applying to join the consortium and the organisation/group they wish to represent.
1.3 Applications will be accessed based on the current membership of the consortium and its spread across the following factors:
- Geographic diversity across the applied to locality
- Organisation diversity e.g. balance of membership between statutory and voluntary sectors
- Thematic diversity e.g. the variety of thematic areas represented across the consortium such as organisations who support specific protected characteristics
1.4. Applicants will be notified of the outcome by the Locality Consortium Lead. If they are successful they will join consortium membership lists held by the Lead.
2. How to be removed from consortium membership
2.1 Members should contact the appropriate Lead to begin this process.
2.2 The Locality Consortium Lead will then remove the individual from their consortium membership list.
2.3 The Locality Consortium Lead will then notify the consortium at the next consortium meeting.
3. GDPR Guidance
3.1 VANL’s Community Solutions Programme deals with applications across a number of funds. Community Solutions staff, Locality Consortium Leads, and Consortia Members must acknowledge that all applications are the intellectual property of the applicant organisations.
3.2 As a result of 3.1 above, information relating to individual applications must only be accessed/shared with the applicant, Locality Consortium Lead, Consortium Members and VANL Staff as appropriate.
3.3 An individual who is on a consortium mailing list for information but has not completed a consortium membership form should not gain access to any applications submitted to the consortium, failure to comply with this guidance should be reported immediately to gordon.watson@vanl.co.uk
3.4 The only exception to 3.3 should be if the individual gains consent to access applications from both the relevant Locality Consortium Lead and Gordon Watson - Head of Community Solutions.
