    Introduction

    Please provide responses to the following questions in relation to the social economy in your Place. The social economy refers to the set of associations, cooperatives, mutual organisations and foundations, in particular social enterprises and charities, whose activity is driven by values of solidarity, the primacy of people over capital, and democratic and participative governance. In this survey, these organisations are referred to as VCSEs.

  • 1. Are there any other networks or partnerships, in addition to the Local Access Programme, in your Place that bring VCSEs together?
  • 3. What is the general level of skills and capacity amongst local VCSEs to sustainably grow their business?
  • 4. Do many VCSEs in your Place own property? If not, are they able to or are there barriers? Please provide more information to support your response.
  • 5. To what extent do you feel local VCSEs are led or governed by people from minority backgrounds relative to the distribution of minority groups in the local community?
