TUITION:
- I understand the scholarship I receive for my child from Step Up For Students or the AAA Scholarship DOES NOT cover the full cost of the tuition or fees for my child to attend Aukela Unique & Distinguished Scholars.
- Tuition payments do not include any late fees, bounced check fees, lunch, lost/damaged book fees, or fees due for broken or damaged property.
- This is an ongoing contract. If a/the child/children has/must be withdrawn from Aukela Unique & Distinguished Scholars and its entities (whether voluntary or involuntary) before the end of school year, I will still be legally responsible for all tuition fees (late charges, legal fees) for the full academic school year.
- All tuition payments are due by the 1st day of the month. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances. Subsequent tuition payments are made by the 1st of each month in advance.
- A late fee of $40.00 will be assessed if tuition is not paid on or before the 5th of each month. If tuition is not received by the 10th of the month, your child/children will be on financial suspension pending satisfaction of the account.
- I understand that it is my responsibility to contact the Academy if I am unable to make my tuition payment on the specified date. Failure to do so will result in the student being suspended from school and locked out of their academic systems without schoolwork
- Tuition Fees due one month will not be carried over into the next month under any circumstances.
- There will be a $30.00 fee for the first check returned unpaid. If a second check is returned, the school will no longer accept your checks. All remaining payments must be made by cash, credit card, or money order.
- All outstanding amounts owed on your account must be received prior to withdrawal, whether voluntary or involuntary, or by May 1st, to entitle you to receive any of the following records regarding your child/children: Achievement Test, Final Testing, Report Cards, and Transfer Papers, etc. All accounts must be paid in full to allow your child/children to graduate.
- All fees are due for the full month. There is no prorated policy for any unused school days during the school year. Early withdrawal and/or transfers to another school also have no pro-rated policies. (Christmas Vacation, Spring Break, Holidays, etc., are all part of the school year calendar and are not prorated.)
- If your child/children is/are in K-4, K-5, and 5th, 8th, or 12th grade they will be graduating in May. Some graduation dues are included in tuition payments. If your child/children enroll in Aukela late in the school year or during summer school, the graduation fee must be paid before graduation. Fees include the cap and tassel, the Gown, and the graduation ceremony.If your account is not paid in full, your child will not participate in graduation.
- 1st Official Transcript is free upon graduation or withdraw. All additional transcripts are $25.00 each. All Official transcripts will requested through our website under parchment.
- I am aware of my financial agreement with Aukela Unique & Distinguished Scholars as well as its entities and will meet the payments and conditions mentioned above.
- I understand that all records and grades will be withheld until all outstanding debts are paid in full. We will abide by all rules and agreements. This is an ongoing, year-to-year contract until the student is withdrawn from Aukela Unique & Distinguished Scholars and its entities.

HEALTH
- Smoking / Vaping of any kind is strictly prohibited on campus. If a student is found smoking / vaping on campus, he or she will be immediately suspended for one week.
- Medical Alert Bracelets for students with severe chronic illnesses must be always worn by the student when on school grounds and when leaving school grounds without a legal Guardian. This also includes all field trips, community service hours, and student activities. Uniform Attire
- Uniform Attire Penalty, Students are not allowed to come to school out of uniform unless notified by ClassDojo, faculty, or administration. Students must wear a belt. If your child is not dressed appropriately, they must return home with you.Students should not be in uniform after school, outside of campus.
- Student will be inspected every morning at the front gate. Inspection consists of a complete uniform, personal grooming, books, and school supplies. Note: Sweets, sodas, chips, etc. will be confiscated
- Students may not post on any social media platform in school uniform.

Communication/Academics:

Quickschools / Classdojo
- It is my responsibility as the parent or guardian to check the progress of my child’s academics weekly on Quickschools as well as any announcements daily on Classdojo. I am aware I can communicate with school personnel through the Quickschools and/or Classdojo system at any day and time.
Curriculum
- It is my responsibility as the parent or guardian to check the progress of my child’s academic assignments nightly.
- I am aware my child must maintain a “80” average in all academic subject areas. I understand if my child receives lower than a “80” in any assignment that assignment must be retaken as an additional homework assignment immediately.
- If my child is absent from school for any reason, I am aware the assignments for the missed days are available online and must be completed within two days of my child returning to school.

Discipline and Responsibility
- Destroying/Defacing, Stealing Property; Any Student found destroying/defacing the school or someone else’s personal property will be charged the full value, tax, and shipment of such property destroyed/defaced or stolen.
- Police; The City of West Park Police will be immediately called if a student becomes a physical and/or verbal threat to themselves, students, teachers, or other persons. The Police Department will notify you.
- Gum chewing is strictly prohibited on campus and in classrooms.
- Students are not allowed to use their cellular phones on campus. Cellphones cause a great distraction. It is preferred for students to leave their devices at home. If brought to school they must be turned over to their teacher until dismissal or these items will be permanently confiscated by school administration, and/or teachers.

Attendance and Dismissal
- Students WILL NOT be released in the last thirty minutes of school.
- Excuse Absence Notice: When a student is absent from school the Guardian must submit proper documentation to the office within the first three days of the student’s return to school. NOTE: Guardians, please keep in mind that vacations and family events or gatherings are not considered excused absences. Also, it is best to schedule all doctor visits after school hours.
- Proper Documentation for Excuse Absence are: Absence due to Illness or Yearly Physical Exam, Doctor’s Note from the Pediatrician, Death in Family: Obituary or Copy of Death Certificate.
- Leaving Campus: Students are not allowed to leave campus after arrival until their designated time to leave. Guardians should notify the administration (either in person or by telephone only) if their child must leave campus before their designated time. The School Truancy Officer will be notified for the following reasons: excessive absence and leaving campus before, during, and/or after school without permission.
- Students cannot be outside of the school or wait at the corner of the property. It is disturbing to our neighbors and unsafe for our students.
- Lateness: After 3 thirty-minute or more unexcused lateness Students will receive a 1-day absence. Students will automatically fail the quarter after 10 unexcused absences and summer school at Aukela Unique & Distinguished Scholars and its entities is required. It is the parents’ responsibility to keep up with the students’ absences.
- Students using public transportation must leave campus sharply at 2:30 p.m. after dismissal. Immediately vacating the premises will eliminate the disturbance of other students on campus (aftercare programs) and eliminate the defacing of school property.
- Students whose dismissal is at 2:30 p.m. but must wait for siblings will be required to remain in their classroom to complete homework, and/or study. Students are not allowed to disturb other classrooms or roam on campus.

Aukela Unique & Distinguished Scholars (AUDS) Student Code of Conduct – Part I

All Students will be expected to follow the following rules:

1. Be on time for all scheduled classes/programs.

2. Conduct yourself safely and responsibly.

3. Refrain from making profane or inflammatory statements (teasing, mocking, bullying, etc.).

4. Maintain regular school attendance and/or employment while participating in attendance at AUDS.

5. Do not leave your seat until told to do so by the teachers/instructors.

6. Do not speak while the teacher/instructor is speaking.

7. Do not interrupt the teacher/instructor.

8. Raise your hand and wait to be acknowledged before speaking and/or moving about.

9. Bomb threats or any materials used to assemble bombs, or any incendiary device may be considered a felony.

10. Do not make threats to anyone. It is considered a verbal assault.

11. Fighting will be considered Battery.

12. Respect AUDS campus and classroom property; any damage or destruction to the property will be the responsibility of you and your guardians for the full value and replacement cost.

13. Any action that is a legal misdemeanor and/or a felony will result in calling the police. The police not AUDS will notify the student's guardian.

14. Any violation of the above rules will result in disciplinary action.

Student Code of Conduct – Part II

I,Student Named Above, voluntarily agree to participate in the Aukela Unique & Distinguished Scholars (AUDS), its entities, and agents' Disciplinarian Program and to comply with all participating agreements and the following Codes of Conduct Part I and II guidelines.

Conduct:

1. Each Student will have only two warnings per school year before they will be sent home for improper uniform attire. The student is not allowed to come to school out of uniform unless notified by Class Dojo, faculty, or administration. should not be in uniform after 4:00 pm unless participating in school activity.

2. Destroying/defacing property. Any Student found destroying or defacing school property, or someone else’s personal property will be charged the full value of such property destroyed or defaced.

3. Smoking/Vaping. Smoking/Vaping of any kind is strictly prohibited on campus. If a student is found smoking/vaping on campus, he/she will be immediately suspended for one week.

4. Gum chewing is strictly prohibited on campus and in classrooms.

5. Leaving campus. Students are not allowed to leave campus after arrival until their designated time to leave. Guardians should notify the administration (either in person or by telephone) if their child must leave campus before their designated time.

6. Students are not allowed to bring cellular phones, iPods, etc. to school. If brought to school, these items must be turned in to the teacher until dismissal. Scholars will be given three warnings. After the third warning, the items will be confiscated until the end of the Academy year.

7. Student MUST be in uniform while on campus. Any students not in proper uniform will be sent back home. Students are NOT to wear their uniorm outside of the academy or on any social media platform.

Prevention and Discipline

1. If found breaking the rules, the Guardian and/or Student must attend counseling and /or arbitration/mediation.

2. If recommended, attend tutoring or other related programs before, during, and/or after school (Summer Program).

3. Fighting will result in immediate disciplinary action.

At Aukela Unique and Distinguished Scholars, we are committed to building a positive, respectful, and safe educational environment for students, staff, and families. In line with this commitment, the following Code of Conduct outlines the standards of behavior expected from all parents, guardians, caregivers, and visitors.

I, Guardian Named Below, voluntarily agree to participate in the Aukela Unique & Distinguished Scholars (AUDS), its entities, and agents Disciplinarian Program and to comply with all participating agreements and the following Codes of Conduct Part I and II guidelines.
- Mutual Respect and Civility
  We believe that respectful communication and behavior foster a productive educational community. All AUDS staff members will treat families with courtesy and expect the same in return. Our school promotes orderly educational and administrative processes by maintaining an environment free from disruptions and unauthorized access.
- Expected Behavior - Parents/guardians and visitors must:
- Communicate respectfully with staff, students, and other families.
- Resolve conflicts through open dialogue by contacting teachers or the Campus Director.
- Avoid raising concerns on social media; use proper channels such as the school's complaint procedure.
- Follow the dress code when visiting school premises.
- Respect and support the school's efforts to provide a safe, Christian learning environment.
- Unacceptable Behavior - The following are prohibited:
- Disrupting school operations or activities.
- Using offensive, loud, or threatening language or gestures.
- Sending abusive or threatening communications (emails, texts, phone calls, social media).
- Engaging in aggressive, hostile, or intimidating behavior.
- Approaching or confronting other children or parents inappropriately.
- Publicly defaming school staff, students, or policies.
- Bringing illegal substances or unauthorized animals (except service animals) onto school grounds.
- Dress Code for Caregivers and Visitors
- Clothing must be appropriate, not revealing or indecent.
- Shoes must be worn at all times.
- No clothing promoting violence, drugs, alcohol, or hate speech.

- We expect caregivers to use discretion when engaging in online activity. The following are not allowed:
- Posting or sharing images/videos of other students without consent.
- Using social media to criticize or harass school personnel, students, or families.
- Publicly challenging school policies or decisions.
- Disruptions and Safety Violations - Any individual who:
- Disrupts operations,
- Threatens student or staff safety,
- Causes property damage,
- Refuses to follow lawful directions, may be asked to leave and may be subject to legal consequences, including a ban from school premises as outlined by Education and Penal Codes.
- Inducing Panic and Criminal Activity - The following are prohibited on school property:
- Causing panic through false threats or alarms.
- Threatening violence or engaging in illegal behavior.
- Harassing or following staff, students, or other parents.
- Suspended or Expelled Children - If your child is suspended or expelled:
- You must ensure they are supervised during school hours.
- They must not be in public places during those hours unless exempted.
- You may be contacted or held accountable if these conditions are violated.
- Consequences for Violations - Depending on the severity of the behavior, AUDS may:
- Send a formal warning letter.
- Invite you to a behavior meeting.
- Issue a ban from campus.
- Refer matters to law enforcement.
- Site bans may be immediate in severe cases. Documentation will be maintained for all incidents.
