LO Pre-Installation Site Survey

The site survey is to be completed prior to Roland DGA shipping the Roland VersaOBJECT printer. The information in this survey will ensure that you are prepared to receive the machine shipment and have a smooth installation experience. Failure to prepare for the arrival of the printer via the freight company will result in additional freight charges. Delivery does not include removal from delivery truck. A forklift will be needed. Failure to prepare facilities and electrical needs before the arrival of installation personnel will result in additional installation charges.

It is the customer's responsibility to note any shipping damage when the machine arrives. Please note damage on the receiving documents and provide Roland with pictures of the damage.

Required Power Configuration

20 Amp Single-phase 208V-240V 2-pole, 3-wire (2P+PE)

A 20-foot power cord is provided and attached to the printer.

The plug and receptacle MUST be installed by a licensed electrician to meet local codes.

Recommended plug and receptacle: NEMA 6-20R 2-Pole Commercial Grade Single Straight Blade Receptacle and NEMA 6-20P 2-Pole Commercial Grade Single Straight Blade Plug, 20 Amp 250-Volt

Delivery

Customer will need to take delivery of the printer by side-access from the freight truck, utilizing a 4,000lb forklift.

(72”) Fork extensions will be necessary for offload of crate and unload of printer from crate.

Doorways and Corridors widths MUST be at greater than 71.5” wide for the LO-640.

If the doorways are NOT within the specs to deliver the printer to its final printing spot, Tilt Mechanism Brackets can be used to assist.

Roland recommends using a licensed and bonded rigging company for the Tilt procedure. * In order to use the Tilt Brackets, they must be ordered PRIOR to delivery. With the Tilt Mechanism Brackets installed, the minimum door opening would be 34” wide.

If the LO-640 printer needs to be installed above/below ground level:

• Ensure a FREIGHT elevator is available that will accept the printer (see following page for specs)

• Utilize a licensed & bonded rigging company.

*If buyer and dealer prefer, a 3rd-party rigging and installation option can be coordinated.

LO Series Flatbed Widths

LO tables are shipped with the TOP PLATE (brackets) not attached. This allows for more room during the move to installation through tight doors or areas.

Delivery & Placement

The LO Series printer will be delivered in one shipping crate. The crate will be up to 3200 lbs. and MUST be offloaded with a minimum of a 4000lb forklift with 72” extended forks by an authorized forklift operator. The LO Series printer is then to be removed from the crate by an authorized forklift operator with instructions from a Roland-trained technician and placed on the concrete floor, rolled into place.

Forklift Requirements:

4000lb with 72” extended forks

The optional Tilt Mechanism allows for delivery through an opening 34” or more.
Will you need the Tilt Mechanism to move the uncrated table through an opening?
LO-640 F3 Dimensions

A minimum of 18" of space around the printer is required.
I have reviewed the area requirements for my device and confirm the space to be within these requirements.

Versaworks 7 Software and Computer Requirements

If installing other color management software, please make sure it meets the respective software requirements.

The LO is a network device. A Category 5 Ethernet patch cable will need to be provided by the customer.

Ensure that the network and computer administrator or IT department will be present to configure the computer and the VersaObject. A static IP Address will need to be assigned to the printer to match the network.
