MICRO-STAR CANADA LTD. (MSI) is looking for a strategic Product Manager to oversee the lifecycle and market success of our high-performance hardware and gaming product lines. Operating, this role focuses on the intersection of product development and corporate sales strategy to drive regional revenue and market share.
Job Duties
- Lead a cross-functional team to bring new products to market, overseeing everything from initial concept to regional launch.
- Plan, direct, and evaluate the activities of sales and product departments; establish organizational policies and procedures to meet regional sales targets.
- Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes, and the effect of competitors' operations on sales.
- Develop product requirements and product roadmaps to align with key market drivers and corporate business objectives.
- Ensure the assortment of products is kept up-to-date; identify slow-moving stock and formulate strategic plans to manage it effectively.
- Manage the communications flow between Internal Sales and Service. Act as a primary liaison externally with vendors, customers, and corporate partners.
- Lead the sales team in building relationships with business clients and manage the negotiation of complex sales contracts.
- Monitor the success of existing and new product launches; establish and track growth & engagement KPIs and goals.
- Plan and control budget and expenditures; conduct performance reviews and arrange specialized training for staff.
- Perform other duties as required to support the Markham office and global headquarters.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field, or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Minimum of four (4) years of demonstrated experience in a growth, business development, or product-focused role within a technology company.
- Proven experience in negotiation and stakeholder management, with the ability to support commercial discussions and agreements.
- Experience working with consumer-facing digital or gaming products is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with experience using data to inform business decisions.
- Ability to execute assigned objectives at both strategic and operational levels.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects, meet deadlines, and deliver results with minimal supervision.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and a results-oriented work ethic.
