2026 Associate Membership Application

Enjoy a full range of summer benefits, including daily chapel services, Nursery & Kids’ Klub, and a dedicated teen program. You also have access to the beachfront, marina rentals, the Jensen Fitness Center, excursions, the Sonju Sports Complex & Fitness Center, as well as tennis and pickleball courts, with optional meal purchases available. These benefits are applicable from June 20 through August 22, 2026, with summer guest passes valid only during this time. The beachfront remains open through September 7, 2026.

Family Membership: Includes membership cards for each family member listed on the application, 2 car tags, and 48 free one-day guest passes. A family unit is defined as a husband, wife, and dependent children up to age 21. Adult children and grandchildren are not included.

Couples Membership: Includes 2 membership cards, 2 car tags, and 24 free one-day guest passes. A couple is defined as a husband and wife.

Individual Membership: Includes membership cards for each individual listed on the application, 1 car tag, and 12 free one-day guest passes.

*Weekly access has a maximum registration of 2 consecutive weeks.

*Boat launch is available post-season by appointment only. Please call our Front Desk at (518) 548-4311 to schedule.

General Items:

• Anyone under age 16 must have adult supervision.
• The Purdy Center swimming pool is only available to Resident Members who have booked a Purdy Room.
• No pets are allowed on Camp property.

Membership Cards: 

• Sale of guest passes and/or other commercial uses (e.g., providing guest passes to rental property customers) is prohibited and may lead to membership revocation.
• Guest passes are valid from June 20 - September 7 (beach access).
• Associate Members and their guests must carry membership cards or guest passes when on the grounds.
• Membership cards are required when signing up for recreational trips and tournaments.

Vehicles: 

• Use CAMP-of-the-WOODS’ entrance at the Welcome Center with visible vehicle tags.
• Associate Member parking is located in the Buirkle Center parking lot near the playground.
• If you ride a motorcycle, please park it in the Purdy Center parking lot.
  For the safety and privacy of members, no bicycles, skateboards, in-line skates, Segways, scooters, drones, or hovercrafts are allowed.

Chapel & Concerts: 

• The Sunday morning Chapel Service is open to the public and guests with a guest pass can stay past the service.
• During Chapel services and concerts, roads by Tibbitts Auditorium will be closed.
• Friday evening concerts are open to Resident Members, Associate Members with membership cards, and guests with guest passes. Saturday evening concerts are open to the public.

Beach Access:

• Beach access is available until September 7.
• Shorts-style bathing suits for men and modest one-piece or full-coverage swimsuits for women are acceptable.
• Appropriate overgarments should be worn on the grounds when going to and from the beach area.
• Please remove or store beach chairs, toys, umbrellas, and other personal items when you’re not using them.
• Use the canoe/kayak racks available on the beach for storage.

Rec Activities & Tournaments:

• Sign up at the Recreation Office after 7:00 pm on Sunday for lottery excursions that did not reach capacity. 
• Friday nights (7:00-9:00 pm) hold a dedicated Pickleball Tournament for Associate Members and staff to play in every week and compete for prizes. 
• You may join each non-pickleball tournament once per tournament.
• You may compete for prizes in the 5k once per summer, and you may participate as many times as you want
• You may sign up for and play in the Staff vs Guest Basketball and Softball games
• If a resident member wants to team up with an Associate Member or staff, that request takes priority over other participation limits.

Marina Access:

• Boat owners will need to be available to pull their boats within 24 hours in the case of an emergency.
• When mooring your boats, moor them to the left of the swimming area when facing the lake and in front of Islotta cabins.
• Please remember that NY State Boating Laws are enforced on Lake Pleasant.
• Please note that the Marina launch is closed on Saturday mornings and Sunday afternoons during Tapawingo transports. 

Feedback Communication: 

Gospel Volunteers, Inc. (GVI) respects and encourages constructive feedback from all Associate Members and to that end has appointed two Associate Member Liaisons to address all feedback internally in a fair and expeditious manner. In the interest of promoting unity and clear communication, GVI requests that all feedback, both positive and negative, be directed to the Member Liaisons, Rich Armstrong and Rob Huseland, whom you can contact by filling out the form on the website.

Essential Doctrines:

• We believe in the divine authority of the 66 books of the Bible alone.
• We believe in one God, eternally existing in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
• We believe in the deity and humanity of Jesus Christ in one person with two distinct natures.
• We believe that all mankind is lost eternally without Jesus Christ.
• We believe in the substitutionary atonement as well as the physical bodily resurrection and ascension into Heaven of Jesus Christ.
• We believe that the only way to heaven is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, apart from any good works on our part.
• We believe in the physical return of Jesus Christ and that everyone will spend eternity consciously and bodily in either heaven or hell.

Mission Statement: 

The Mission of Gospel Volunteers, Inc. is to present the Biblical truths of Jesus Christ, develop Christian leaders, strengthen the faith of individuals and families, and promote global evangelism.

Associate Memberships are non-refundable.
