• Your Feedback - Te Atatū AFC Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy

We're updating our Policy and want to hear what's important to our Club Members
  • This short survey is anonymous - we won’t know who responses come from. Your honest feedback will help us create a safer, more supportive environment for all children at our club.

When we talk about “safety,” we mean more than just physical safety. It includes:

    • Feeling emotionally safe and respected
    • Positive, appropriate behaviour from coaches, volunteers, and other players
    • Protection from bullying, exclusion, or harmful language
    • Safe use of communication (including social media and messaging)
    • Clear boundaries and adults who act in children’s best interests

When we say "the club", we mean everything connected to being a part of Te Atatū AFC. This includes training, games, tournaments, changing areas, coaches, volunteers, managers and other players.

  • How comfortable do you feel raising a concern with the club about the safety or wellbeing of a child?
  • How safe do you feel your child is at the club right now?
  • What happens next?

We’ll use what you share to help shape and strengthen our child safeguarding policy and practices. We’ll also share a summary of key themes with our club community so you can see what we’ve heard and what we’re doing in response.
