🎒 What to Bring:

• Swimsuit Worn Under Clothing – Participants should arrive with swimsuits already on.
• Towel – For drying off after water activities.
• Comfortable Walking Shoes – We’ll be walking to and from activity locations.
• Water Bottle (Filled) – Staying hydrated is essential!
• Sunscreen
• Carrying Items – Participants are responsible for managing their own belongings. A shuttle to the beach will be available if absolutely necessary (e.g. extreme heat).
• Changing Facilities – Parents may assist their individual in changing into dry clothes at pick-up, using the Mulligan’s Hollow public restrooms nearby.
• Bring a sack lunch- or eat prior. 

Reminder – No Early Drop-Offs

• Staff will begin check-in no earlier than 10:55 PM.
• While you may see staff arriving or preparing beforehand, participants cannot be dropped off early.
• Please plan to arrive at the designated drop-off time to help ensure a safe, smooth, and organized start for everyone.

🔐 Important Notice – Sign In/Out Required

• For the safety and security of all participants, signing in and out is mandatory at both drop-off and pick-up. This process will be completed digitally with our staff.
• Do not drop off or pick up your individual without checking in with staff.

• Be sure to add this outing to your schedule. To help keep you on track all summer long, we’ll send reminder emails every Sunday for the upcoming week.

❗ Cancellation Policy:

• Outings canceled within 48 hours of the scheduled start time may still be invoiced. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please use the Cancellation Link on our website as soon as possible so we can adjust plans and offer the spot to someone on the waitlist.
• Starting June 15, 2026, after a participant’s third cancellation within 7 days of an outing, that individual may be subject to removal from future programming.
• To cancel participation in this outing, please complete the Cancellation Form at www.sidekickswestmichigan.org under the “Cancellation Link” tab.

Release Form:

I understand and acknowledge that my individual is participating in a beach outing organized by Sidekicks of West Michigan. I hereby agree to the following terms and conditions:

Assumption of Risk: I understand that the beach we are visiting is a non-lifeguarded beach. I acknowledge that swimming in natural bodies of water involves inherent risks, including but not limited to drowning, injury from underwater obstacles, and changing water conditions.

Proficiency: I acknowledge that if my indivuidal is not a proficient swimmer, individual will be required to only wade in water up to knee deep. I understand that it is my responsibility to assess their swimming abilities and act accordingly to ensure their safety.

Swim at Own Risk: I understand that swimmers will be swimming at their own risk. Sidekicks of West Michigan and its organizers are not liable for any accidents, injuries, or damages that may occur as a result of swimming activities during the outing.

Waiver of Liability: In consideration of being allowed to participate in the beach outing, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Sidekicks of West Michigan, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and agents from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me, whether caused by the negligence of Sidekicks of West Michigan or otherwise, while participating in the outing.
