Climate News Hour 4/29
  • Peer-to-Peer Facilitator Support Space

  • Join us on April 29th from 1-2pm ET for a Climate News Hour--a space to discuss recent climate news and explore feelings that arise about it.

For this session we will focus on recent news about the Atlantic meridional overturning circulation (Amoc). Rebecca Solnit described this development as "literally bigger than all other news this year and maybe a decade." How do we grapple with the enormity of such news? The Work That Reconnects teaches that it is easier to hold truths this huge in community.

In advance of the session, please take some time to read this short Guardian article: https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2026/apr/15/critical-atlantic-current-significantly-more-likely-to-collapse-than-thought

or any other news articles you would like to read about the recent findings about Amoc, and then when we are together we will have time to discuss what this means and explore our inner responses to it.

For those joining in Eastern Time Zone, please feel free to eat your lunch during this session if this falls during your lunch hour.

**Please make note of what time this will be in your time zone with this Time Zone Converter.**
