We all know Derek made his mark on so many things in our small, but big community.  One of his passions while Ryan and Andy were growing up was his close connection with the Great American Basketball League (GABL). Derek served as Chairman of the GABL Board of Directors for many years while also serving on countless committees, but his biggest mark on the organization was the creation and implementation of the 1st-2nd Grade Boys and Girls Advanced League. GABL will be renaming this league "The Major League" in honor of Derek's time and effort to make this program happen.  GABL will also be creating a scholarship fund specifically for Shawnee Mission West students in Derek's name, as this was the area that he served when not managing the direction of the entire league. GABL would not be what it is today without the help of Derek Majors, and we are grateful for his years of leadership, guidance, and countless hours on the court to make it happen. By clicking on Submit button below, you will be forwarded to pay by PayPal or your credit card.
