  • Little Women Audition Info

  • Only fill out if auditioning for Little Women. Please read this section very carefully as it could affect your casting.Understudy/Swings: Little Women will have 2 offstage swings, one male, one female, as well as understudies in the show. Understudies are actors who are already in the cast, typically ensemble, who also learn a principal track in case of emergency.  Swings are actors that are offstage who may learn multiple tracks (roles), typically ensemble roles, to be able to step in for a role in case of emergency.  Ex: If the actor for Jo gets sick, Jo's understudy will go in, and the female swing will go in for the ensemble track that the understudy is usually in. Swings and understudies are incredibly important to productions, it's a big commitment but a really good skill to learn. Intimacy: There will be five roles kissing in the show. 1. Between Jo and Laurie2. Between Jo and Professor Bhaer3. Between Meg and John Brooke MCT utilizes an Intimacy Director in all of their work that requires onstage kisses. An Intimacy Director is there to ensure that both parties involved in the moment of intimacy (onstage kiss) are protected, and comfortable. The ID is the go between for the actors and director to ensure that there is an advocate for the actors comfortability and needs. All moments of intimacy will be taught with a Bail and an Alt. If for whatever reason an actor doesn't feel comfortable going through with the kiss that night, there is a bail built into the choreography, and an alternative that the actors would go to instead of the kiss. Below you will be asked to indicate your comfortability with an onstage kiss. If you have ANY questions regarding intimacy, please email emma@mctmidland.org
  • Will you accept any role offered?
  • Intimacy: What is your comfort level with an onstage kiss? Only applicable if interested in Jo, Meg, Laurie, Professor Bhaer, John Brooke.

The Fundraiser theme focuses on the 250th Anniversary of America, and historical events, highlighting Pickwicks as the future voices.   You must be available during the week of June 28 to July 4 to be considered for this production.  There will be various roles available to Pickwicks in this production, including but not limited to performing, directing, emceeing, stage managing, designing, front of house and more.
