Located on the South Rim of Grand Canyon in Arizona, the Environmental Educator in Residence program at Grand Canyon National Park offers environmental educators the opportunity to teach visitors about the wonders of our natural world, inspiring conservation, preservation, and appreciation for Grand Canyon’s precious natural resources.
We seek skilled, innovative educators with a passion for environmental advocacy to share their knowledge and expertise with the public and local community through programs and materials that educate, entertain, and inspire deep reverence for the Grand Canyon. Selected residents are encouraged to offer five public programs (30-min minimum each) per week, or three public programs and an educational learning supplement.
The program supports the National Park Service (NPS) Interpretation and Resource Education goal of climate resilience and Grand Canyon Conservancy’s (GCC) goal to inspire generations of park champions to cherish and support the natural and cultural wonder of Grand Canyon.
