    • THE PANTRY PROJECT

      VOLUNTEER ROLE OVERVIEW

      As a volunteer for The Pantry Project, you may be asked to support with the following tasks:

      • Setting up tables and preparing the space
      • Sorting and organising food items
        Supporting with food distribution to participants
      • Welcoming and directing attendees
        Packing food bags
      • Basic cleaning and pack-down after sessions

      Volunteers may be asked to support across different tasks depending on the needs of each session.

      This role may involve:

      • Standing for periods of time
      • Light lifting (food crates, bags)
      • Moving around the venue

      We ask volunteers to be reliable and give reasonable notice if they are unable to attend a session.

      However, due to the nature of some of our venues, including settings where children may be present, certain offences may be subject to additional review in line with safeguarding requirements.

      Where appropiate, a DBS check may be requested before confirming a volunteer role.
