The American Academy of Pain Medicine relies on the expertise and passion of our members to drive progress in Pain Medicine. We seek volunteers to serve on our Committees, Task Forces, and Special Interest Groups (SIGs).
By joining one of these dynamic groups, you will collaborate with thought leaders, develop your professional skills, and help shape the future of pain medicine. Whether you're interested in research, education, advocacy, clinical guidelines, or innovation, we have a role for you!
Opportunities Available:
- Committees: Lead and contribute to ongoing initiatives that advance AAPM's mission to advance multidisciplinary pain care, education, advocacy, and research to improve the quality of life for our members and those they treat.
- AAPM Foundation: Board of Directors and workgroups will collaborate on projects such as Giving Tuesday, clinical consensus guidelines, and other opportunities to raise funds to support the Academy's mission.
- Shared Interest Groups: Focus on specific areas of interest, from Academic Pain Medicine to Substance Use Disorder, and help develop resources and initiatives for your peers.
- Other Opportunities: Consider joining or submitting blog posts and reviewing manuscripts for the Pain Medicine Journal.
AAPM is committed to providing meaningful leadership opportunities for all members. By volunteering, you’ll shape initiatives and play an active role in advancing the field of pain medicine. The deadline to submit your volunteer interest form is May 27, 2026, at 11:59 pm Eastern. The Resident Ambassador call for volunteers will open in this Summer.
