What About the Guns? Workshop
  • Join the Gallatin Community Gun Club (GCGC) and Congruence Mental Health (CMH) to learn about safety planning when firearms are a means for suicide. Firearms instructors from GCGC will present a hands-on overview of firearms with information that can be used to improve safety planning. Following the firearms instruction, CMH will lead participants in applying their firearms knowledge to suicide safety planning when firearms are a means for suicide. Participants will receive 5 CEUs in suicide prevention.

    I understand that participation may involve exposure to sensitive or potentially distressing topics, including discussions of mental health challenges, suicide, and firearm-related harm. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation, including any emotional or psychological discomfort.

    4. Not a Substitute for Professional Services
    I understand that this workshop is for educational purposes only and does not constitute therapy, clinical supervision, or individualized professional advice. Participation does not establish a therapeutic or provider-client relationship with GCGC or its instructors.

    5. Personal Responsibility
    I agree to take responsibility for my own well-being during and after the workshop. If I experience distress, I understand it is my responsibility to seek appropriate support from qualified professionals or resources.

    6. Release of Liability
    To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless Gallatin Community Gun Club (GCGC), its board members, instructors, volunteers, and partners from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to my participation in this workshop.

    7. Respectful Participation
    I agree to engage respectfully with other participants and maintain a supportive and inclusive environment. I understand that while personal experiences may be shared, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed in a group setting.

    8. Media & Recording
    I understand that no recording is permitted during the workshop unless explicitly authorized by GCGC and CMH. I agree not to record or distribute any portion of the session.
