Volunteer Waiver, Release of Liability & Terms and Conditions

By submitting this form, I acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Voluntary Participation
I understand that my participation as a volunteer for Vegas for Athletes and the VFA Summer Games is completely voluntary. I am not an employee, agent, or contractor of Vegas for Athletes and will not receive wages, benefits, or compensation of any kind for my services.
2. Assumption of Risk
I understand that volunteering may involve physical activity, outdoor exposure, crowds, athletic environments, and other inherent risks, including but not limited to personal injury, illness, heat-related conditions, property damage, or accidents. I knowingly and voluntarily assume all such risks, whether foreseen or unforeseen.
3. Release and Waiver of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Vegas for Athletes, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, partners, sponsors, medical providers, event venues, and affiliated organizations from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, or liabilities arising out of or related to my participation as a volunteer, including claims based on negligence.
4. Medical Treatment Authorization
In the event of injury or medical emergency, I authorize Vegas for Athletes and its representatives to obtain emergency medical treatment on my behalf. I understand that I am responsible for any medical expenses incurred and that Vegas for Athletes does not provide health or medical insurance coverage for volunteers.
5. Code of Conduct
I agree to conduct myself in a professional, respectful, and safe manner at all times. I understand that Vegas for Athletes reserves the right to remove any volunteer whose behavior is deemed unsafe, inappropriate, disruptive, or not in alignment with the organization’s mission and values.
6. Photography and Media Release
I grant Vegas for Athletes the irrevocable right to photograph, video record, and otherwise capture my likeness, voice, or image during volunteer activities. I authorize the use of such media for promotional, marketing, educational, and informational purposes across all platforms, without compensation or approval rights.
7. Confidentiality
I understand that I may have access to confidential or sensitive information, including but not limited to participant information or internal operations. I agree not to disclose any such information before, during, or after my volunteer service.
8. Compliance with Rules and Instructions
I agree to follow all event rules, safety guidelines, and instructions provided by Vegas for Athletes staff, medical personnel, and event leadership. Failure to do so may result in removal from volunteer duties.
9. Legal Acknowledgment
I certify that I am at least 18 years of age or, if under 18, that a parent or legal guardian has provided consent. I acknowledge that I have read this waiver in full, understand its contents, and sign it freely and voluntarily.
By submitting this form, I acknowledge that this agreement is legally binding and that I am giving up certain legal rights, including the right to sue.
