In 2027 Suncoast Spinners will host a 3 day Wheelchair basketball tournament catering to three Grades of competition at Caloundra Stadium. The Suncoast Spinners annual wheelchair basketball tournament is a unique event with the competition bringing together beginners through to Australia's elite athletes while also providing a supportive social event for people with disability. The community atmosphere of the event has seen the tournament become the largest participated wheelchair basketball event in Australia. The Tournament committee work hard to keep costs at a minimum providing affordable sporting opportunities for participants. To achieve this Suncoast Spinners relies on volunteers to staff the Score Bench.

Complete the following information to register as a volunteer at the annual Suncoast Spinners wheelchair basketball tournament in January 2027

Dates: 15, 16, 17, January 2027.

Venue: Caloundra Stadium, North Street.

Score Bench

Approximately 75 games will be played over the three days with 2 -3 score bench staff needed for each game. Games run between 8am and 5pm daily. Score Bench experience will be beneficial but not necessary. Training can be provided before the tournament and during the event.

As a volunteer at the 2027 Suncoast Spinners Wheelchair Basketball Tournament, I agree to each of the following expectations below:

I will abide by the rules of the competition.
I will display good sportsmanship and respect for all other volunteers, officials, staff and participants.
I will respect the efforts and decisions of the referees and score bench officials.
I will respect the efforts and decisions of Suncoast Spinners staff and volunteers, including the Technical Committee at the event.
I will raise any concerns I have with Suncoast Spinners staff in a respectful and constructive manner.
I understand that not fulfilling any of the expectations above could result in my suspension or expulsion from the event.
All volunteers agree to the volunteer code of Conduct. Any breach of this Code will result in expulsion from the event.
I agree that I am physically fit and able to volunteer at the event.

Release and Permission to Use Photographic Images And Waiver of Liability

During attendance at the Suncoast Spinners Tournament, volunteers consent to the following;

1. Use, publication and reproduction by SUNCOAST SPINNERS WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL INC. its employees, officers, contractors or agents of photographs (‘Photographs’) and Video of me for the purposes of advertising, media publicity, general display or for any other club purposes in whole or in part, including on the clubs website or in social media, and as a consequence, Photographs/Video may be transferred outside Australia.

2. agree that the use, publication or reproduction of the Photographs/video may occur by any medium, including but not limited to newspapers, magazines, brochures, television advertisements, promotional content and websites, including social media outlets.

3. agree that the rights granted to SUNCOAST SPINNERS WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL INC. under this release and waiver are perpetual and I hereby waive any interest that I may have in the copyright to the Photographs/video now or at any future time. I acknowledge that I do not expect to receive any payment or any other consideration in connection with the taking, use or storage of the Photographs/video.

4. acknowledge and agree that any use of the Photographs/Video is, at the date of publication, made in good faith and is not intended to defame, offend, or bring my reputation into disrepute.

5. release SUNCOAST SPINNERS WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL INC., its employees, officers, contractors and agents from any liability (including consequential loss) connected with the publication, reproduction, or release of the Photographs/video.
