Details about volunteering with ASCO
Eligibility: Anyone employed by member organization in one of the following ASCO membership categories is eligible to serve on a committee or task force: - Active Members (U.S.-based optometry schools and colleges) - Associate Members (Canadian optometry schools and colleges) - Affiliate Members (International optometry schools/colleges OR government agencies - Provisional Members. Terms of Service: Terms of service on an ASCO Committee or Task Force are typically one-year in length, covering ASCO's programmatic/fiscal year (July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027). In most cases, a volunteer may serve up to a maximum of three consecutive one-year terms in a volunteer position. ASCO's Incoming President makes all appointments to ASCO Committees and Task Forces, and may choose to vary terms of service and term limits for certain positions based on organizational/programmatic needs with approval of the Board of Directors.
