    Sabah Smart School IoT Hackathon 2026 is a competition where student that resident in Sabah only to join as a team and build a solution with Arduino Hardware for the following theme:

     

    Each team will going through FIVE (5) phase as follows:

    Phase 1 : Idea Submission

    		 All teams need to register and submit their ideas before 22 May 2026.

    Phase 2 : Briefing & Bootcamp

    		 All teams are required to attend program briefing and online Bootcamp. We encourage other students,teachers, advisors & parents to join in. Free training for all.

    Phase 3 :Programing Week

    		 The top 15 teams need to develop a prototype of their solutions and submit a video of their presentation. Each team will receive FREE IoT Kit.

    Phase 4 : Pitching 

    		 Top 15 team will submit their solution online. The top 5 teams will be selected as the winners of the competition.

    Phase 5 : Closing Ceremony

    		 Winner Announcement!!!

    You need to have a team of 2 to 4 students and an "Advisor" is required for each team. An "Advisor" can be a teacher / lecturer / trainer or individual above 21 years old.

    You would also need to register and have Discord account. Register here 

    One school can send unlimited teams & each team is allowed to submit up to TWO (2) ideas only.

     

    Requirements 

    🎓 High school students aged 14 – 18 y/o ONLY.

    📍 Students must be schooling and residing in Sabah.

    👥 Each team must consist of 2 – 4 students.

    🧑‍🏫 Each team is required to have ONE (1) advisor. [Above 21 y/o]

    🏫 Each school is allowed to send an unlimited number of teams. Only best team will be selected.

    💡 Each team may submit TWO (2) idea only.

    🎮 Each participant & advisor must have a Discord Account.

    THE ORGANISER MAY TERMINATE OR SUSPEND THE COMPETITION AT ANYTIME AT ITS SOLE AND ABSOLUTE DISCRETION. SUCH TERMINATION OR SUSPENSION WILL NOT GIVE RISE TO ANY CLAIM BY THE APPLICANT. THE ORGANISER RESERVES THE RIGHT NOT TO AWARD PRIZE(S) IF IN ITS OPINION NONE OF SUBMISSIONS RECEIVED IS OF SUFFICIENT MERIT.
