DUMFRIES VOCAL COLLECTIVE
MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT REPORT (12-MONTH PROJECT)
TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
1. Overview
This document sets out the membership terms, expectations, and operational framework for participants of the Dumfries Vocal Collective (“the Collective”).
The Collective operates as an extension of Dumfries Community Choir and forms part of Electric Theatre Workshop Limited (“the Organisation”). The project is supported financially and administratively by the Organisation, alongside voluntary contributions from its management.
Electric Workshop Limited will contract an Artistic Director and provide supervisory mentorship for the duration of the initial 12-month project period.
2. Project Term
Membership of the Collective is offered on a fixed-term basis of 12 months from the agreed commencement date.
Participants are expected to commit to the full duration of the project.
3. Membership Fee
Members agree to:
- Pay a monthly subscription of £35 for the duration of the initial 12-month project period; and
- Maintain all payments throughout this period, including during any temporary pause in participation
These contributions support the operational and artistic delivery of the project.
The subscription rate of £35 per month applies exclusively to the initial 12-month term. Upon completion of this period, the subscription rate shall be subject to formal review by Electric Theatre Workshop Limited.
Any adjustment to the subscription fee, including a potential reduction, will be made at the sole discretion of Electric Theatre Workshop Limited, and will be contingent upon the establishment of a sustainable and evidenced income stream generated during the initial 12-month period.
No guarantee is given that subscription fees will be reduced following the review.
4. Participation and Commitment
Members are expected to actively engage in all aspects of the Collective’s programme.
Scheduled Activity:
- Rehearsals: Mondays, 6:00pm – 7:30pm (fortnightly)
- Workshop: One full-day session once a month (10:00am – 4:00pm)
Participation is limited to a maximum of 18 members.
Occassionally, we may wish to rehearse on another day, which would be agreed with everyone in advance.
5. Standards of Conduct
Members must always maintain a professional and respectful standard of behaviour, including rehearsals, performances, and general conduct with venues and staff.
6. Shared Responsibilities
Members agree to contribute to promotion, live events, and fundraising initiatives.
7. Financial and Organisational Context
The project is supported by Electric Theatre Workshop Limited for the 12 month period.
8. Membership Pauses
Subscription payments must continue during any pause in attendance.
9. Termination of Participation
Membership may be withdrawn at the discretion of the Organisation if terms are not met.
10. Feedback and Communication
Feedback should be submitted to graham@bigburnssupper.com who will try to formally reply within 14 days.
11. Acceptance of Terms
Members confirm they understand and agree to these terms.
12. Waiting list
The organisation shall keep a waiting list of at least 2 members at all times to ensure that the group is sustained.
13. In keeping with Electric Theatre Workshop’s ethos, participants are asked not to direct others, regardless of their level of musical knowledge. This approach supports a more collaborative and balanced group dynamics.
