    Sign up for America250PA's National Pennsylvania Day efforts on July 20th 2026! Once your form is submitted, a member of our team will reach out with additional details.
  • Please read carefully before proceeding:

    • America250PA's Pennsylvania Day efforts are taking place on MONDAY, JULY 20, 2026.

    • Each volunteer MUST register. If registering multiple volunteers, please submit separate forms for each individual. Each site requires thorough information; therefore, holds cannot be placed. 

    • Once you select a volunteer location, you will be prompted to fill out additional information that is required by your site. Please make sure all of these requirements are completed. In addition, your site may require additional documentation to be returned. This documentation can be found at: https://bit.ly/PADayDocs. You will also be guided to these documents once you submit this form. Documentation should be sent to Erin Haafke at Feeding Pennsylvania: ehaafke@feedingpa.org

    • Some locations may have age limits or other physical requirements. Please be sure to review these details before selecting your site!

    • All volunteers MUST wear closed-toed shoes. No flip flops, heels, sandals, or crocs, please. You should wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting dirty. Some of these locations will be outdoors, so please prepare accordingly (sunscreen, water, hat, etc.)

    • Local media may be present at your location. Site leads may also take photographs and videos throughout to use for promotional purposes. By completing this form, you consent to your inclusion in this content and the use of this photography/videography in marketing and promotional materials.

    • LOCATION DETAILS
      • Volunteer efforts will begin and remain focused on filling Senior Food Boxes, stocking the pantry, etc. This is an assembly line set-up; everyone will have a specific task and the environment works well for employee engagement as well as team building. Please note that pictures taken may be posted on social media and/or shown at Weinberg Food Bank board meetings.

    • Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank - Additional Information Required 
    • LOCATION DETAILS
      • Volunteers will be helping in the Volunteer Engagement Center at the main warehouse facility in Duquesne, Pennsylvania. Volunteers may help pack boxes, sort donations, or handle produce and meat in the Cool Zone.
      • Ages 12+; parent/guardian consent required for ages under 18.

    • Helping Harvest Fresh Food Bank - Warehouse - Additional Information Required 
    • LOCATION DETAILS
      •  Volunteers will assist the warehouse in sorting, bagging, packaging, or boxing donations for distribution. 
      • Ages 16+;Parent/Guardian consent required for ages 18 and under.

    • Helping Harvest Fresh Food Bank – Helping Harvest Community Kitchen- Additional Information Required 
    • LOCATION DETAILS
      • Volunteers will help our chefs prepare fresh and nutritious foods to be packaged in heat-then-eat ready meals for low-income seniors and families.
      • Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, teacher, or other supervisor; Parent/Guardian consent required for ages 18 and under.

    • Mercer County Food Bank (Food Bank Warehouse) – Additional Information Required  
    • LOCATION DETAILS
      • Volunteers will sort donated food items, ensure the food items follow food safety guidelines and re-pack the food into assorted shelf-stable boxes.
      • All volunteers must be 14+, and those under 18 must have written parental consent.

    • Mercer County Food Bank (Myron's Meal Mobile) - Additional Information Required 
    • LOCATION DETAILS
      • At Myron's Meal Mobile, the food bank's retrofitted school bus and mobile meal unit, volunteers will bag and distribute hot, nutritious to-go meals to our neighbors. 
      • All volunteers must be 10+. Volunteers under age 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

    • Philabundance - Hunger Relief Center - Additional Information Required 
    • LOCATION DETAILS
      • All volunteers must be 18+

      • Volunteers must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
      • Some individuals may be asked to lift up to 40lbs.
      • You will be working in a facility and using equipment that may have come in contact with allergens such as eggs, fish, milk, peanuts, sesame, shellfish, soy, tree nuts and wheat.

    • LOCATION DETAILS
      • Volunteers will be sorting donations by food category and packing product that is distributed to participants in a six county area. Volunteers will also be cleaning and organizing areas in the warehouse and a storage closet.
      • Volunteers 16+. All volunteers under 18 must have parental consent and be accompanied by an adult during their shift.

    • Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest PA - Additional Information Required 
    • LOCATION DETAILS
      • Volunteers in this role will work alongside other volunteers and Second Harvest staff to accomplish the "Project of the Day". While warehouse projects vary by shift, volunteers can expect to sort, pack, and prepare grocery items for our neighbors. 
      • Ages 10+; Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the entirety of the volunteer shift. Both the child and adult must register to volunteer.

      • Criminal History and Child Abuse Clearance required if accompanying a minor who is not your legal responsibility.

    • LOCATION DETAILS
      • Volunteers will participate in a variety of food sorting and packing activities. Please note that the food bank is currently under construction. Parking and transportation information will be finalized two weeks prior to the event.

      • 16+ are welcome! Minors under the age of 18 must have a current youth waiver on file. Youth will not be permitted to volunteer if this requirement is not met.

      • "Volunteers will assist with creating individual mosaic tiles for a public mosaic mural prior to PA Day. On PA Day, volunteers will assist with assembling and insstalling the mosaic mural."

      • "Volunteers will help remove litter and graffiti, make essential repairs to park infrastructure, and refresh pollinator beds and green spaces, improving safety and usability for the public."

      • "Volunteers will help clear portions of an existing park trail, assist with maintenance and repair of a history garden, and provide support for new orchard installations."

      MONROE COUNTY
      Stroudsburg Borough – America250PA Ad Hoc Committee
      • "Volunteers will assist with a community clean-up day, providing care for shared spaces, including the children's park and a nearby creek. Following the clean-up, participants are invited to attend a local volunteers recognition dinner and award ceremony."
