Poland Garden Club Summer Grow Contest – Official Rules
Eligibility: This contest is open to all businesses and residents of Poland, as well as those located within a 15 mile radius of the Poland Town Office.
Entry Requirements:
- An entry fee of $5.00 is required per category.
- Participants may enter multiple categories; however, a separate entry form must be submitted for each category.
- Each entry must feature red, white, and blue flowers.
- All Entries must be of your own design and owned by you.
- Deadline for entry is 11:59p on June 30th, 2026.
Categories:
Youth (Age 12 and Under):
Open to participants age 12 and under. Entries may include any type of garden, container planting, or floral arrangement created primarily by the child. Judging will emphasize creativity, effort, and use of patriotic colors.
Container Garden:
A planted display featuring flowers, plants, or greenery grown in pots, planters, window boxes, hanging baskets, or other containers. Entries will be judged on creativity, design, color coordination, and overall presentation.
Red, White, and Blue Garden View:
An outdoor garden, flower bed, landscaped area, or yard display. Judging will consider overall design, plant health, visual appeal, and effective use of patriotic colors and themes.
Business Display:
Open to businesses, organizations, and commercial properties. Entries may include landscaped entrances, flower beds, container displays, storefront plantings, or other decorative floral features visible to the public. Judging will focus on curb appeal, creativity, maintenance, and incorporation of patriotic colors and themes.
Judging:
- Judging will occur July 1st-3rd, and winners will be announced on July 3rd.
- All categories except the People's Choice will be judged based on creativity, overall appearance, use of color/theme, and presentation.
