  • Windsor Neighbourhood Summer Scheme 2026

    The Windsor Summer Scheme is open to all children between the ages of 5-15 living local to the Windsor Neighbourhood in Belfast. It will provide an opportunity for children and youth to make friends, reinforce academic potential and build & refine character.


    The days will include character building classes, literacy support, transfer test preparation (P6), games, art, storytelling, community projects and trips. The character building classes use a programme developed by the worldwide Bahá’í Faith Community which aims to cultivate in young people attitudes and skills to build a better world.

     

    Theme: "So powerful is the light of unity can illuminate the whole earth."

    Dates and location: The scheme will take place across two venues: 

    - St Brides Primary School; Monday 6th - Friday 10th July 2026* 

    - Another venue TBC; Monday 3rd- Friday 7th August 2026

    Times: Children and youth should be dropped off at the venue at 09:30am and collected no later than 3:00pm.

     *Please note that P7+ will attend from 4th July

     

    Price: Free

    T-shirt: £15 (each child needs one so volunteers can easily identify them during sessions)
    Available at the Windsor Hub, 22 Lower Windsor Avenue on:

    • Friday 29th May 2-7pm
    • Thursday 11th June 4-8pm
    • Thursday 25th June 3-5pm

    Note that your registration will not be finalised until you have attended to pick this up.

    We aim to provide inclusive and accessible activities which meet the individual needs of the children attending. While every effort will be made to provide a place for children with additional needs, our volunteers are not specialists, and it may not be possible to meet the needs of every child who wishes to register for our schemes.

    We are unable to provide one to one support during sessions and we are unable to provide intimate care in our settings.

    Your time and commitment to supporting children and young people in the community are greatly valued. Without the generosity and time of so many people, the scheme would be impossible to run. We believe that, through our good deeds, even if we consider them small, we can make a contribution to the betterment of the world.
