Registering as a Conscientious Objector with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)

This form is for individuals who have completed a statement expressing their religious beliefs about their opposition to participating in war, and have shared that document with their PC(USA) church community, which has received and documented the individual’s conscientious objection.

If you have not yet completed the above discernment and connected with your faith community, information and guidance about how to do so is available at https://pcusa.org/conscientious-objection. If you have questions about this process, please email us at conscientiousobjection@pcusa.org.

After you have recorded your objection through your local PC(USA) congregation or faith community, please complete this form and upload the following documents:

• a signed copy of your statement of opposition to war
• a letter from your clerk of session or corresponding officer confirming your participation in the community, and that you have registered your conscientious objection beliefs with the congregation/community
