    Thank you for your interest in becoming a presenter for the Whole Child Whole Community Conference. This year's theme is, Every Connection Counts: Building a Community of Caring Adults for Every Child. The conference will be held on November 10, 2026 at ESC - Region 20. Request for Proposals for this year's conference are due on June 30th, 2026 by 11:59pm. You will be notified of the selection committee's decision by July 31st, 2026 by 5:00pm. If you are presenting with multiple presenters, please have only one presenter or panelist submit the request for proposal form for your group. You will need the following items and information for each presenter/panelist: headshot, resume/CV, email, phone number, short bio & front of the room experience. Sessions will be 65 minutes long.   • Training Description - Executive Functioning:

    Executive functioning refers to the set of mental skills that help youth plan, focus attention, manage emotions, remember instructions, and juggle multiple tasks successfully. When developed, executive functioning increases a youth’s sense of control, confidence, and adaptability which can help them navigate stress, stay organized and achieve goals even in the face of adversity. Trainings and workshops in this category can emphasize building youth’s ability to regulate their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, manage stress, and control impulses. They can also help youth development professionals build youth’s skills in attention, focus, decision-making, and problem-solving. 
  • Training Description - Positive Connections:

    Positive Connections refers to the experience of feeling accepted, valued, and connected within a community. The focus is on intentionally creating environments where youth see themselves as valued, feel safe to be authentic, and know that their presence matters.   Trainings and workshops in this category help youth development professionals create a sense of belonging for youth. This can include creating a sense of belonging through one-on-one relationships as well as creating a sense of belonging for youth within schools and communities. The creation of these meaningful relationships assist youth in navigating challenges and becoming connected to supportive systems. 
  • Training Description - Self-Efficacy:

    Self-efficacy refers to an individual’s belief in their ability to successfully complete tasks and achieve goals.  It is also closely connected to mental health because it influences how one handles challenges, recovers from setbacks, and solves problems. When strengthened, self-efficacy increases motivation, persistence, and problem solving. Trainings and workshops in this category can center on helping youth manage stress, anxiety, and strong emotions.  They can also help youth development professionals build resilience and coping skills among the youth they serve.
