The Primary Schools Cup is a mixed team tennis competition open to all schools within Queensland. Every school has the opportunity to nominate teams at Regional Qualification events with the winners of each tie invited to compete at the State Final held at the Brisbane International.
The competition will be run in three different categories;
RED BALL
- Red Ball involves students in Year 4 and below
- Schools can enter teams in
- Division A – Mixed and Girls Only and/or
- Division B – Participation
- Red Ball is an entry-level competition that encourages participation and is a great starting point for all students
- Teams consist of 8-10 students
- Schools may enter a max. of
- 1 Divison A Mixed
- 1 Division A Girls &
- 2 Participation teams
Orange Ball
- Students in Year 5 and below
- Schools can enter teams in
- Division A - Mixed
- Division B - Mixed (Participation)
- Teams of 4-5 students.
- Schools may enter a max. of
- 1 Divison A
- 2 Division B teams
A combined Division A & B competition may be played dependent on entry numbers.
1st & 2nd place schools in Division A will be invited to compete at State Finals held at the Brisbane International.
Green Ball
- Students in Year 6 and below
- Teams of 4-5 students.
- Schools can enter teams in
- Division A – Mixed and Girls Only and/or
- Division B – Participation
- Schools may enter a max. of
- 1 Divison A Mixed
- 1 Division A Girls &
- 3 Partipcation teams
Entry Fees
Red Ball = $70 per team (inc GST)
Orange & Green Ball = $80 per team (inc GST)
Schools will be invoiced prior to each event
- Nominations close 2 weeks prior to each regional event
- Each Team must have a team manager
