Explore Nestwood Forest with POCO and CLT
  • Explore Nestwood Forest with Columbia Land Trust and People of Color Outdoors

    Saturday, May 30, 2026
  • Columbia Land Trust and People of Color Outdoors invite you to join us for a guided nature walk in a beautiful, conserved forest near Corbett, OR. In 2022, Columbia Land Trust finalized the conservation of 800 acres at this property that we call Nestwood Forest. This achievement has permanently protected:

    • Habitat for diverse wildlife such as black bear, bobcats, coyotes, deer, elk, amphibians and countless birds
    • Forested slopes protecting the headwaters of Big Creek, a tributary of the Sandy River.
    • A network of forest roads and trails which create opportunities for community engagement, stewardship, and recreation

At this walk, you’ll be joined by staff from CLT and guides from POCO who will share their knowledge of the local ecology while welcoming your own expertise and questions. RSVP below to join us for this experience!
