The Farmingdale State College Memorial Gallery is pleased to announce a summer exhibition highlighting contemporary artists from Long Island.

SIZZLE II: A survey of Contemporary Art on Long Island will be on view June 22 - August 21,2026 in the Memorial Gallery located in Hale Hall.

All artists that are actively engaged in a contemporary creative practice and living or working on Long Island are invited to submit works for possible inclusion. Work in all media including film and video is welcomed. Small installations can also be considered. Please see the submission details below.

Submission Details & Guidelines:
- Open to all visual art media and disciplines
- No size restrictions (though artists are responsible for transportation)
- All 2D work must be framed, WIRED, and ready to hang (no saw tooth hangers).Memorial Gallery staff will not wire or repair work.
- Works must have been completed within the last three years
- Artists may submit up to three pieces for consideration. Not all three may be selected. This is to give the curator a greater range of work to choose from.
- Submissions must include high-quality images, artist statement, artist bio, and (optional) CV
- Please name ALL files (artistname_Title) JackStar_TheEndlings
- Images submitted without all information TITLE, MEDIUM,YEAR, SIZE will not be reviewed.
A closing reception will take place on August 21 from 5:00 - 6:30 PM

Submission Deadline: May 22, 2026 (midnight)

Important Dates
• Submissions received by May 23, 2025 (midnight)
• Artists will be notified on or before June 5, 2026.
• All work must be dropped off to the Memorial Gallery located in Hale Hall at
2350 Broadhollow Road, Farmingdale, NY 11735 on
June 12 between 12:00 - 6:30 PM or June 15 between 12 - 4:00 PM.

• Closing Reception August 21 from 5:00 - 6:30 PM

• Pick up of work August 21 from 6:30 - 7:30 PM

• Work may not be removed from the gallery before the closing of the exhibition.

PLEASE NOTE | An artist Bio & Statement are required to submit this form. The form will not save. Please be sure to prepare your text in a word document and then copy and paste into this application.
