    Deadlines

    1. First Round Deadline: 11:59PM Monday, May 10, 2026
      Priority deadline - applications received in the first round will be reviewed first and have the highest chance of acceptance
    2. Second Round Deadline: 11:59PM Wednesday, June 10, 2026
      Only considered for admission if spots remain after the first round. Otherwise, candidates will be placed on the waitlist for future consideration.
    3. Rolling Admissions & Waitlist: Ongoing
      The application will remain open, but candidates will be placed on a waitlist (likely until the following application season)

    Applicants are required to have a teacher recommendation that supports their decision to apply for The Academy. We encourage musicians to ask their school music teacher and/or an orchestra/band director for the written recommendation.

  • You should always directly contact the person you are asking for a recommendation. Explain what you are applying for and if they would be comfortable recommending you.

    If you have already done this and you have your teacher's email address, you can choose to have the form sent directly to them when you submit this application. OR you can request a link to the form so you can send it to them later.
