Maricopa County Medical Society is excited to present the 2026 Distinguished Dignitary Leadership in Healthcare Award, honoring a public elected official who has demonstrated exceptional dedication, leadership, and impact in supporting physicians and advancing the principles of patient-centered care.
This inaugural award recognizes leaders who go above and beyond to protect the integrity of healthcare, uphold the principles of patient access and choice, and ensure physicians are empowered to deliver high-quality, ethical, and accessible care. It also celebrates those who champion the physician voice in policy discussions and strengthen the foundation of a trusted, collaborative healthcare system.
The recipient exemplifies a deep commitment to improving the health and well-being of their constituents through meaningful collaboration with healthcare professionals, support of physician-led initiatives, and sustained contributions to advancing healthcare delivery within the community.
Nominations will be accepted from May 1st through August 1st. Each candidate is carefully assessed to determine the degree to which they fulfills each of the requirements according to the criteria established. Announcements will be made on August 30, 2026.
