About MUUUCE

MUUUCE stands for the Most Unbelievable, Ultimate, Urban Camping Experience. This incredible event is designed specifically with middle schoolers in mind. It’s three days of crazy middle school fun, woven with worship experiences, challenging talks, and small group conversations!
 
This year's MUUUCE will include a trip to Valleyfair amusement park and another possible excursion. Participants should ask your youth leader to find out the cost of MUUUCE, including any money they need to bring for incidentals. Meals from Thursday evening through Saturday breakfast including lunch at Valleyfair, will be provided at MUUUCE. Snacks at Valleyfair and other excursions are not covered.

MUUUCE is a ministry of the Northwest Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church in collaboration with our host church, Crossroads Covenant Church (Woodbury, MN).

Acknowledgment of Risk and Consent to Participate
I give permission for my child to participate in MUUUCE 2026, including all related activities and transportation to and from the event. I understand that this event is sponsored by the Northwest Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church (NWC), hosted by Crossroads Covenant Church (CCC), and the child’s sponsoring church (referred to as “Sponsor Church”).
 
I recognize that participation in group activities and transportation involves certain inherent risks. While I understand that the event organizers will take reasonable precautions for safety, I accept these risks and give my informed consent for my child to participate.
 
This acknowledgment does not waive any rights my child may have under Minnesota law but confirms that I have been informed about the event and voluntarily grant permission for participation.

Emergency Medical Authorization
In the event of a medical emergency and reasonable efforts to contact me have failed, I authorize MUUUCE staff, volunteers, or medical professionals to obtain and provide any medical care deemed necessary for my child, including evaluation, treatment, hospitalization, anesthesia, or surgery.
 
This authorization is valid only to the extent allowed by applicable Minnesota and federal law. I understand that I am financially responsible for any resulting medical expenses. 

Photo, Video and Media Notice
MUUUCE is a large group event where photos and videos are regularly taken to capture and share what’s happening throughout the event. 
 
By registering your child, you are giving permission for the Northwest Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church, Crossroads Covenant Church, and participating churches to photograph and record your child for ministry and promotional use (including social media, websites, and print).
 
We do not use names or identifying personal information without additional consent.
 
If you would like to opt your child out, please send an email to MUUUCE@northwestconference.org. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate, but we cannot guarantee your child will not appear incidentally in group photos or videos.

Behavior Expectations Acknowledgment
I understand that participants are expected to act respectfully, follow event rules, and behave safely. If my child’s behavior becomes unsafe or seriously disruptive, I understand I may be contacted and asked to arrange for early departure at my own expense.

Confirmation

BY ACKNOWLEDGING AND SIGNING BELOW, I AM DELIVERING AN ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE THAT WILL HAVE THE SAME EFFECT AS AN ORIGINAL MANUAL PAPER SIGNATURE. THE ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE WILL BE EQUALLY AS BINDING AS AN ORIGINAL MANUAL PAPER SIGNATURE.

I commit to fully engage in the programming during MUUUCE. This will require that I adhere to the following Standards of Personal Conduct:
 
I will:
 
o  Abide by all rules and expectations of MUUUCE and my church.
 
o  Actively demonstrate the values of safety, responsibility, and respect.
 
o  Fully engage with positive participation in all activities and discussions.
 
o  Observe Quiet Hours (no music, yelling, cheerleading, etc.).
 
I will not:
 
o  Engage in any behavior that may be disrespectful or harmful to the health and safety of the participant or others, including bullying or harassment.

o  Engage in any behavior that may be disrespectful or harmful to property.
 
o  Possess, use, or consume illegal drugs, alcoholic beverages, or tobacco, including vaping.
 
o  Use or possess fireworks, firearms, or other dangerous weapons (e.g., knives, slingshots, laser pointers, etc.).
 
I understand that:
 
o  Individuals are liable (& will be billed) for any damage they intentionally or accidentally commit to Crossroads Covenant, MUUUCE property, or any other business/venue visited during MUUUCE.
 
o  All students are under the supervision of their respective church leaders.
 
o  Leaders have the right to confiscate any items used abusively by students for the duration of MUUUCE.
 
o  Any infraction or disregard for the Standards of Personal Conduct may result in my immediate dismissal from MUUUCE. I acknowledge that I may be sent home from MUUUCE at my own expense.

By signing below, I understand that this counts as my official signature, just like signing a paper form. My electronic signature means I agree to everything on this form, and it has the same effect as if I had signed it by hand.
